You never regret one socket too many — always one too few, discovered the day an extension lead crosses the living room. The standard sets minimums per room: here they are, with mounting heights.
Minimums per room (NF C 15-100)
| Room | Min. 16 A sockets | Other requirements |
|---|---|---|

| Bedroom | 3 | 1 lighting point + network socket advised |
| Kitchen | 6 incl. 4 above the worktop | + dedicated circuits; none above the sink or hob |

- Tumble dryer, freezer, water heater: dedicated too, whenever present.
Mounting heights (diagram)
Every socket is decided before the walls close — ten times cheaper than after. The exact moment in the project: phase 2, the services.
