These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the “Terms”) govern the sale of flooring and related items made on the Import Your Parquet website to consumer customers. They are available on the website at all times and prevail over any other document. Placing an order implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms.
Seller: UAB Import Your Parquet, a private limited company under Lithuanian law (UAB) with share capital of €1,000, registered in the Register of Legal Entities of the Republic of Lithuania under number 308006410, EU VAT number LT100020779819, with its registered office at V. Nagevičiaus g. 3, LT-08237 Vilnius (Lithuania), represented by its director, Mr Foad Ait El Mouden, operating the “Import Your Parquet” brand.

Article 1 — Purpose and scope
These Terms set out the rights and obligations of the parties in the distance selling of the products offered by Import Your Parquet to customers who are consumers within the meaning of consumer law (hereinafter the “Customer”). They apply to any order placed on the website, to the exclusion of any purchasing conditions issued by the Customer.
The seller reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The applicable Terms are those in force on the date the order is confirmed.
Article 2 — Products
The products offered are engineered European oak floors, from our own selection and our European partner workshops, available in several patterns (straight plank, chevron, herringbone, Hungarian point, Versailles), widths and finishes (oiled, lacquered, smoked, brushed, aged, among others). Most of our floors are suitable for underfloor heating; the compatibility conditions are given on each product page.
Floors are sold in full packs: the area covered by one pack (in m²) is shown on each product page. For some lots, the unit of sale is the square metre itself, which is then stated on the product page. As wood is a natural, living material, variations in colour, grain and appearance between boards — and compared with the photographs — are inherent to the product and do not constitute a lack of conformity. The Customer may view the floors by appointment in our showroom in Longjumeau (France) to appreciate the real appearance of the product before any purchase.
Article 3 — Prices and VAT
Prices are shown in euros including all taxes, excluding delivery costs. Each product page shows, for comparison, the price per square metre as well as the price per pack: it is the pack price, multiplied by the number of packs ordered, that is invoiced.
The prices including VAT displayed on the website include French VAT at 20%. In accordance with the European rules on distance sales, the VAT applied to the order is that of the country of delivery (for example 19% in Germany, 21% in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain, 22% in Italy): the price including VAT is recalculated in the cart as soon as the country of delivery is entered, and the final amount is shown before the order is confirmed. For delivery outside the European Union, the sale is invoiced without VAT; any import duties and taxes are payable by the recipient.
Business customers established in another Member State of the European Union with a valid EU VAT number (checked via the VIES system) are invoiced without VAT where the conditions for an intra-Community supply are met (Article 138 of Directive 2006/112/EC), the VAT then being accounted for by the customer under the reverse-charge mechanism.
Delivery costs are calculated according to the area ordered and shown to the Customer before the order is finally confirmed (see Article 7). The seller reserves the right to change its prices at any time; products are, however, invoiced on the basis of the prices in force when the order is recorded.
Article 4 — Orders
The Customer selects the products and the required area (which the website converts into a whole number of packs), adds them to the cart, then confirms the order after checking its details and correcting any errors. Confirming the order, after accepting these Terms and the order summary, constitutes conclusion of the sales contract.
It is the Customer's responsibility to calculate the area needed for the project, allowing an extra margin for offcuts and cutting (usually around 5 to 10% depending on the laying pattern). The seller cannot be held liable for an insufficient or excessive quantity ordered. If in doubt, the Customer can contact us via the contact page or use the trade area for project support.
An order confirmation is sent to the Customer by email. The seller reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order involving a dispute, a payment default or any abnormal circumstances.
Article 5 — Payment
Payment is made, at the Customer's choice:
- online (bank card or online banking), via the secure payment platform Paysera (Paysera LT, UAB, an institution licensed and supervised by the Bank of Lithuania): payment data is transmitted in encrypted form and is never stored by the seller;
- by bank transfer: the bank details are provided when the order is placed. The order is then prepared once the funds have actually been received.
The order is only finally recorded once the full price has been received. For card payments, the amount is debited when the order is confirmed.
Article 6 — Availability
Product offers are valid as long as they are visible on the website, while stocks last. As these are natural wood products, some items may be restocked or manufactured to order.
If a product becomes totally or partially unavailable after the order has been placed, the Customer is informed as soon as possible and may choose either to wait for restocking or to cancel the unavailable part of the order. The amounts corresponding to the unavailable products are then refunded.
Article 7 — Delivery
Products are delivered throughout Europe, to the address given by the Customer when ordering. Delivery costs are calculated according to the area ordered, in tiers, and are displayed before the order is finally confirmed. No delivery is offered free of charge: transport costs apply to every order.
Delivery times are given for information only. They depend on product availability, the pattern and the delivery location. The seller endeavours to meet these times but cannot be held liable for delays attributable to the carrier or to force majeure.
As floors are bulky and fragile products, the Customer must check the condition of the packages and products on receipt, in the presence of the carrier. In the event of damage, missing items or apparent non-conformity, the Customer must record precise and detailed reservations on the delivery note and confirm the claim to the seller as soon as possible, keeping the packaging. Without written reservations, the products are deemed accepted as they are.
Risk passes when the Customer, or a third party designated by the Customer, takes physical possession of the products.
Article 8 — Right of withdrawal
In accordance with the law of the Republic of Lithuania transposing Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, the Customer has a period of fourteen (14) days from receipt of the products to exercise the right of withdrawal, without having to give any reason or pay any penalty. Where the order concerns several products delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last product.
To exercise this right, the Customer notifies the decision by an unequivocal statement, by email to contact@importyourparquet.com or by post, before the period expires. A model withdrawal form may be used but is not mandatory.
Products must be returned in their original condition, complete and not installed, on a pallet and in packaging that allows them to be transported without damage. Return costs are borne by the Customer. On receiving the withdrawal decision, the seller sends the Customer a quote for the return transport; once this quote has been paid, the seller arranges collection of the pallet within fourteen (14) days of the withdrawal decision being communicated. The Customer may also return the products themselves, at their own expense, within the same period.
The seller refunds the sums paid, including the initial standard delivery costs, as soon as the pallet has been delivered to the seller and its contents checked, and no later than fourteen (14) days after the withdrawal decision was communicated; the seller may, however, withhold the refund until the products have been recovered. The Customer may be held liable for any diminished value of the products resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics.
In accordance with the exceptions provided for by Lithuanian law and Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to the Customer's specifications or clearly personalised, in particular floors cut, shaped, sawn or made to measure at the Customer's request.
Article 9 — Legal guarantees
Independently of any commercial guarantee, the Customer benefits from the following legal guarantees:
- the legal guarantee of conformity, provided for by the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania (Articles 6.363 et seq.), transposing Directive (EU) 2019/771, which allows the Customer to have a non-conforming product brought into conformity (repair or replacement), or failing that to obtain a price reduction or termination of the sale;
- the guarantee against hidden defects, provided for by the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania, which allows the Customer to obtain termination of the sale or a price reduction in the event of a hidden defect making the product unfit for its intended use.
These guarantees apply without prejudice to the right of withdrawal. They do not cover defects resulting from installation not in accordance with good practice, abnormal use, lack of maintenance or unsuitable humidity and acclimatisation conditions; we invite the Customer to read our installation guide. To claim under a guarantee, the Customer contacts the seller using the details given below, describing the defect found.
Article 10 — Complaints and consumer mediation
For any complaint, the Customer can contact the seller's customer service by email at contact@importyourparquet.com or by phone on +33 6 43 23 03 45. The seller undertakes to handle every request diligently.
If not satisfied with the response, the consumer Customer may, after a prior written complaint to the seller, refer the matter free of charge to the out-of-court consumer dispute resolution body competent for the seller: the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba — VVTAT), Vilniaus g. 25, LT-01402 Vilnius, Lithuania, www.vvtat.lt.
Article 11 — Personal data
Personal data collected in connection with the order is processed in accordance with the applicable regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). How this data is collected, used and kept, as well as the Customer's rights, are detailed in our privacy policy.
Article 12 — Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania, the State in which the seller is established and carries out its business. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts of the Republic of Lithuania may be seized. A consumer Customer residing in another Member State of the European Union nevertheless retains the benefit of the mandatory protective provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence and may bring proceedings before the courts of that State.
Before taking any legal action, the parties will endeavour to find an amicable solution, where appropriate through the mediation provided for in Article 10.
