Here are the answers to the most common questions about our floors, ordering, delivery, payment and care. Question not covered? Write to us via the Contact page — we will be happy to help.
Prices and payment
Are prices shown per m²?
Yes: each product page shows the price per m², to compare easily, and the price per pack. Our floors are sold in full packs (the area of one pack is shown on the product page): the website converts your surface into a number of packs. Displayed prices include French VAT (20%); the VAT of your delivery country is applied in the cart. Remember to allow a cutting and fitting margin on top of the room surface.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payment is made securely online by card. If you prefer, a bank transfer can be arranged — contact us and we will send you a pro-forma invoice with our bank details.
Can I pay by bank transfer instead of card?
Yes. Write to contact@importyourparquet.com with your order details and we will prepare the invoice; goods are shipped once the transfer is received.
Delivery
Do you deliver across Europe?
Yes — our floors ship from European stocks (Belgium, Germany, Poland) and are delivered across Europe, directly to your site or home.
What are the delivery times and costs?
In-stock references usually ship within 7 to 10 working days; made-to-order items take longer (the lead time is shown on each product page). Delivery costs depend on quantity and destination — they are calculated with your order or quotation.
What should I check on reception?
Deliveries arrive on pallets. Before signing, check the number of packs and their condition; note any reserves on the delivery slip and photograph any damage, then contact us within 48 hours so we can resolve it quickly.
The product
Is the flooring compatible with underfloor heating?
Yes — engineered oak is dimensionally stable and suitable for low-temperature water-based underfloor heating, with a suitable installation and adhesive. If in doubt about your setup, contact us before ordering.
Which finish should I choose: oiled or lacquered?
Both finishes are excellent; the choice depends on use and taste:
- Oiled — matt, natural, warm look with an authentic touch. Oil penetrates the fibre and can be repaired locally if scratched. It requires regular care (suitable cleaner and maintenance oil from time to time).
- Lacquered — a protective surface film, more resistant to stains and heavy traffic, easier everyday care. Deep renovation is done by full sanding.
For busy rooms or families with children and pets, lacquer is often preferred; for a very natural look and timeless charm, oiled is the classic choice. Our showroom near Paris lets you compare both in real light, and our team is here to advise.
How do I care for my floor?
Vacuum regularly and clean with a natural soap suitable for wooden floors. Avoid excess water and aggressive detergents. Oiled floors appreciate a maintenance oil once or twice a year in busy areas.
Which widths and patterns do you offer?
From narrow (125–150 mm) to XXL (240–300 mm), through standard (190–220 mm) and wide boards — plus herringbone, Hungarian herringbone (chevron) and Versailles panels.
Seeing the products and getting advice
Can I see the floors for real before buying?

Returns and withdrawal
Can I return my order?
Yes. You have 14 days from receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal, under the conditions of our Terms of Sale. Products must be complete, not installed and in good condition. As soon as the pallet has arrived and been checked, we refund you.
